Summary of Expertise

Benjamin Parcher, PharmD, MS is a Manager within Xcenda’s Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (GHEOR) team. His role at Xcenda encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities including digital health technology assessments, global and US payer research, drug pricing analysis, market access strategies, outcomes analyzers, net present value modeling, publication planning, value proposition development, and population health management.

Prior to joining Xcenda, Dr. Parcher worked within various roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for over 10 years. These included patent writing, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, pre-clinical development, and medical affairs roles. Most recently, Dr. Parcher worked within a medical affairs unit to align portfolio-wide HEOR activities and commercial strategy across 12 pharmaceutical brands. In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Parcher has led several efforts in the digital health sector within medication adherence, as well as exploring computational methods for modeling continuous glucose monitoring. Dr. Parcher is an active member in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), with interests in furthering economic analysis techniques for measuring the value of digital health technologies and pharmacotherapy combinations.

Dr. Parcher earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where he gained experience in both Managed Medicaid and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) health plans, developing drug monographs for regional Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee meetings. He completed a 2-year, Health Outcomes and Market Access Fellowship at Xcenda in April, 2017.  During this same time, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, and emphasis in Applied Pharmacoeconomics.
