Summary of Expertise

Maher Abdel-Sattar, PharmD, MS, is a Manager within Xcenda’s Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (GHEOR) team. His role at Xcenda stretches across multiple services and includes work on outcomes analyzers, health outcomes strategies, economic modeling, prospective and retrospective database analyses, systematic literature reviews, product dossiers, product value propositions, market access research, in-depth payer interviews, and content development for advisory boards.

Prior to joining Xcenda as a Manager, Dr. Abdel-Sattar completed a two-year Health Outcomes and Managed Markets Fellowship with Xcenda. His previous consulting work focused on the development of clinical tools, electronic medical records (EMR) software, drug utilization databases, and compendia evaluations for oncology practices. Dr. Abdel-Sattar also had experiences in managed care medical communications at a large biotech company and in formulary management at a state-funded county hospital. Furthermore, he has over five years of experience within the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), which include leadership roles both regionally and nationally.

Dr. Abdel-Sattar earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where he concurrently followed a Health Services and Policy Research pathway resulting in three publications and multiple poster presentations at AMCP and International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) meetings. Dr. Abdel-Sattar also earned a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, with an emphasis in Applied Pharmacoeconomics, from the University of Florida.
