Barb Lennert, RN, BSN, is a Director who lends her extensive clinical and quality improvement experience to a variety of projects including payer market research, payer advisory boards and web surveys, and managed markets agency engagments. Ms. Lennert has particular expertise in the therapeutic areas of chronic disease (especially hypertension), coronary artery disease, diabetes, asthma, and depression.
Prior to joining Xcenda, Ms. Lennert oversaw the successful implementation of clinical and service quality improvement initiatives with Touchpoint Health Plan, as well as completion of the HEDIS process. Ms. Lennert was responsible for ensuring National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) compliance and maintenance of the health plan’s “excellent” status. (For 2 consecutive years, Touchpoint Health Plan was named #1 by NCQA and #2 the subsequent year.) Ms. Lennert also oversaw the credentialing department to ensure it successfully met the needs of the health plan and all entities that delegated to Touchpoint/ThedaCare for this function. She has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of healthcare settings with a focus on quality improvement.
Ms. Lennert graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
