Health Outcomes and Managed Markets Fellowship

This two-year, degree-granting Fellowship, sponsored by Xcenda, in conjunction with the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy, provides a unique research and education experience in an outcomes research consulting environment. While the Fellow is completing coursework at the University Florida, College Pharmacy, he/she will also work on numerous projects in various disease areas, and interact with many of the top pharmaceutical companies, managed care organizations, and healthcare providers throughout the United States.

During the Fellowship, professionals from Xcenda will mentor the Fellow in multiple consulting projects focused on health outcomes, market research, brand/managed markets strategy, reimbursement strategy, and provider reimbursement education. At the conclusion of the Fellowship, a driven Fellow will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to begin a successful career in a consulting firm, pharmaceutical company, managed care organization, or academia. In addition, the Fellow will obtain the Master of Science in Pharmacy degree with an emphasis on Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy.

About the University of Florida College of Pharmacy
Established in 1923, the University of Florida College of Pharmacy is one of the top ranked colleges in the nation. The College of Pharmacy offers a major in Applied Pharmacoeconomics within the Master of Science in Pharmacy program. This major provides students with the opportunity to critique, apply, and participate in a team effort to conduct applied pharmacoeconomics research to improve clinical decision making. Courses in the program are taught by national content experts. Students who enroll in this program aspire to work in or currently work in the pharmacy benefits management industry, the insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and government agencies.

Eligibility requirements

Candidates will be selected from a national pool of individuals with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience, and a strong interest in health outcomes research. Although not required, a residency or outcomes experience is preferred.
