Bob Mauch

As President, Robert Mauch leads the company's strategic direction to ensure that Xcenda consistently advances its leading market position. Dr. Mauch has demonstrated an ability to forecast market trends, take action to capture first mover's advantage, and adapt to changing market conditions. In 1994, long before the US pharmaceutical industry was buzzing about comparative effectiveness and managed markets strategy, he founded Applied Health Outcomes, later renamed Xcenda, as a boutique consultancy focused on demonstrating the value of healthcare technologies to payers. Under his leadership, the company grew to 130 associates, stayed true to its mission, and became a subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group.

Experience in oncology, neurology, psychiatry, and many other therapeutic areas makes Dr. Mauch a key contributor to client projects. He regularly advises clients seeking strategic support for product commercialization, particularly with regard to health economics and outcomes research, managed markets strategies, value messaging, market research, and formulary and reimbursement decision making.

Dr. Mauch motivates Xcenda's consultants to demonstrate thought leadership and innovation in proving product value to maximize access in today's dynamic healthcare marketplace. With a focus on continually integrating Xcenda's consulting services, multidisciplinary expertise, and access to stakeholder insights within the Amerisource-Bergen Specialty Group portfolio, he is committed to delivering greater value both for clients and for shareholders.

Dr. Mauch received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University and his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. He is an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.
