Terri Madison

Terri Madison, PhD, MPH is a Vice President and leads the Epidemiology and Risk Management consulting practice. Dr. Madison and her team work collaboratively with colleagues at fellow AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group companies to deliver a broad array of safety surveillance and risk management services that help clients use evidence-based science and risk management methods to reinforce the safe and appropriate use of their products.  Her team excels at helping clients find synergy between their health outcomes research, risk-benefit analysis, and patient access strategy. 

With 25 years experience and an in-depth understanding of global safety regulations, Dr. Madison is an industry expert in epidemiology, drug safety, and risk management.  Prior to joining Xcenda, she was the President of i3 Drug Safety and the former Chief Operating Officer of STATPROBE, Inc.  While at i3 Drug Safety, Terri was active in the FDA’s Sentinel Initiative.  She has been an invited presenter and panelist at various workshops and public forums regarding risk minimization, data ownership and privacy issues, and issues surrounding the reportability of adverse events from administrative databases.

Dr. Madison’s core research interests and expertise include pregnancy surveillance, risk management, design and conduct of observational cancer studies, and effects of race and socioeconomic status on disparities in health outcomes. Her work in these, and other areas, has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has authored several book chapters. Terri is an active member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), Drug Information Association (DIA), and International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE).

Dr. Madison received her PhD and MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan.  She was the recipient of a National Institutes of Health predoctoral fellowship in Cancer Training and Prevention from the School of Public Health's Departments of Environmental Health and Epidemiology.
