Meet Maher Abdel-Sattar, PharmD, MS

My journey at Xcenda has been an incredible one! It started with me completing an APPE rotation with Xcenda, which allowed me to discover the unique company culture and explore different types of projects across both commercial and scientific consulting. My rewarding rotation experience propelled me to pursue a career in consulting and complete a 2-year Health Outcomes & Market Access fellowship with Xcenda upon graduating from pharmacy school. Through the fellowship, I gained a deeper understanding of Xcenda’s many consulting services and developed essential skills to contribute to project work first as a content developer and eventually as a project lead. I also highly appreciated the mentorship opportunities with Xcenda’s leadership team, precepting experiences, independent research projects, complimentary MS degree coursework, and additional trainings offered through the fellowship. The program truly prepared me to be a successful consultant and set me up for continued growth within the company. I now serve as the team lead for Xcenda’s Market Research Strategy team and contribute to the growth of future fellows as the director of the Health Outcomes & Market Access fellowship.

FormularyDecisions® Research Assistants

The Research Assistant (RA) role at Xcenda is a unique opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in managed care, industry, or consulting. RAs work in conjunction with the Product Management and Engagement teams to support FormularyDecisions®, a secure online platform that gives biopharma companies unrivaled access to healthcare decision makers (HCDMs) to support formulary decision making and promote the exchange of product information. Through this program, you may be involved in projects ranging from maintaining clinical content on the platform to supporting projects to promote customer and payer engagement, such as creating presentations and conducting research. This is a one-year, part-time remote role that may be renewed on an annual basis. Candidates pursuing a doctorate degree (eg, PharmD, PhD, etc) in health sciences are encouraged to apply. The application consists of a short 2 minute video interview, CV, letter of intent, and an example presentation from class. Our application cutoff is December 31st for positions that start in May.
