Teri' Yvette Burnell, PharmD is Senior Vice President of Innovative Field Solutions, a service organization focused on the design, development, and execution of field solutions with the goal of improving access, speed to therapy, and the customer experience.
Before joining AmerisourceBergen, Dr. Burnell was the National Clinical Pharmacy Program Director for one of the nation’s largest private commercial payers, where she led the efforts for the design and implementation of therapeutic intervention, coverage management, and drug utilization management programs. She also was instrumental in developing resources for pharmaceutical manufacturers to support formulary positioning of products.
Dr. Burnell has participated in many conferences. She is a licensed, registered pharmacist and consultant pharmacist in the state of Florida and has more than 30 years of healthcare management experience with a background in clinical pharmacy program development and payer-focused initiatives. She leverages her payer experience in assisting clients in understanding effective strategies that support product positioning and collaboration with healthcare providers and payers.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, empowering youth, and women at her church, and preserving memories through scrapbooks.
Dr. Burnell received a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Talladega College.
